TATTOOS

Basics: 
   From intricate sleeves to delicate symbols, our artists bring your ideas to life with exceptional artistry. Explore our diverse range, including black & grey, fine-line, traditional, and more. We have five tattoo artists and one apprentice. Visit the 'Meet the Artist' tab to get to know us and view our portfolios.
   We offer FREE consultations to everyone. Designs can be drawn on-the-spot for walk-ins, as well as, in advance for scheduled appointments. Flash designs are available for viewing in the lobby.

Age Requirements:
   Must be 18 years or older, with some legal form of identification. All clients are required by law to sign a consent form. Documents must be filled out completely. As stated in the law: "Sec. 146.012. TATTOOS PROHIBITED FOR CERTAIN PERSONS. (a) A tattooist may not tattoo: [1] except as provided by Subsectiopn (a-1), a person younger than 18 years of age ".

Custom:
   Custom tattoos are designed for each client. Our artists are happy to draw something new, unique!
   Artists' may require a $50, or more, deposit, depending on the design. You can choose any artist you'd like to come up with a design for you, based on whose artwork you like the most. We value our clients and your opinions! We want you to be happy with your choice and comfortable, knowing that will put you first. It is your body, after all!
   The client comes first at Electric Cat. Johnny-on-the-spot or appointment-based visits, our artists will provide the artwork up-front and allow the client to express their feelings and opinions about the work. Customization is what sets your tattoo apart from others. Make it unique! You may be required to drop a deposit for a tattoo appointment. Deposits are non-refundable.

Appointment:
   You may choose any artist in the shop to book an appointment with. This allows you to feel safe and secure with your artist. We know your selection is important. Everyone has a style preference and we respect that. Find an artist in the "Meet the Artists" tab.
   Appointments can be scheduled, easily, through Instagram, Facebook, a quick telephone call or in-person.
   Please, allow the artist time to work on the design before hand. This allows a quick-start upon arrival. It, also, ensures the artist will be ready and available for you.
   A deposit may be required by the artist. Deposits cover draw time and hold your appointment slot. Deposits are non-refundable.

Tattoo Time: 
   Down to business! Once the client has agreed to their design, the process will move forward and it will be time to begin. Sizing and placement will be agreed upon and the stencil will be placed.
   Breaks will be allowed if/when it is necessary. Water and candy are available, provided for FREE by Electric Cat. There's a public restroom, which includes a baby changing station, for the mommy's and daddy's.

Aftercare:
   Once the work is complete, the artist will properly cleanse the area and offer professional healing bandage. The artist will go over the recommended aftercare instructions. We have paper forms of the written aftercare instructions available the lobby, for each to take. View "Tattoo Aftercare".

Payment:
   Payment will be accepted via the artists collection preference. Please, ask your artist in advance, which payments they accept.
   Collectively, we accept Cash, Zelle, Venmo, CashApp and Apple Cash (through text). NO CARDS. NO TAP. There is an ATM provided in the lobby for your convenience, where card withdraws are required for cash payments.
   Tips are not required but greatly appreciated.




PIERCINGS

Basics:
   Our dedicated piercers are committed to providing with a professional and comfortable experience. Once you've signed the consent forms and shown identity, then, you'll receive a thorough walk-through during the entire process, ensuring you feel informed and at ease. Someone will walk you to the piercing room, where you can begin the process. We offer piercings during regular business hours, and both walk-ins and appointments are welcome. 

The Piercer:
   There are two piercers and one apprentice, which can also be found in the 'Meet the Artists' tab. Destiné and Darnell are experienced piercers and Naki is the apprentice. You'll automatically be placed with one of the two experienced piercers. The apprentice will be available for practice sale days and appointments only. They will, also, have the client be made fully aware of their apprenticeship upon any service agreement.

The Piercing Room:
   The piercing room is a secure environment, away from the open design of the tattoo lobby. We take pride in our cleanliness, set-up and organizational skills. Our piercing room is designed in such a way, that our clients typically compliment the room's environment and express their comfort in the cool toned decor and the calm, professionalism of the artist.

Age Requirements:
   Children must be old enough sign the consent form and understand the procedure process. Any minor under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent with legal identification and the birth certificate of the minor. As stated by law "Sec. 146.0125. BODY PIERCING PROHIBITED WITHOUT PARENTAL CONSENT; EXCEPTION. (a) A person may not perform body piercing on an individual younger than 18 years of age without the consent of a parent, managing conservator, or guardian of the individual.". 
   Parent must be listed on the birth certificate or show legal custody documents. Minor and parent will each be required, by law, to complete a consent form.
   Copies of all information will documented and filed.

Appointment:
   Piercing appointments are available 7 days a week. Contact us on Facebook, Instagram, Facebook, telephone calls or in person. Find the artists section to contact them, directly.

Process:
   The available, and/or recommended, jewelry options will be displayed to the client for personal selection. After the set-up is completed, the artist will begin to cleanse and mark the desired location for the piercings. The client will be able to express their opinion on the markings, then proceed.
   A verbal walk-thru will be expressed during the procedure, to ensure proper communication and understanding. This way, the client will feel safe and secure, as they know what to expect.
   Upon completion, thorough cleansing will be administered and aftercare instructions will given verbally and on paper.

Aftercare:
   At this time, verbal and written aftercare instructions will be provided. We recommend anti-bacterial soap, wound was, saline rinse, and more, if you have sensitive skin. Wash your fresh piercings twice daily for the next 4-6 weeks, minimum. To learn more about cleaning your fresh piercings, view our, detailed, "Piercing Aftercare" page. Extended Gratitude:
   During the session, FREE water will be available to the client. It's okay to ask for a moment, if you feel weak or faint. The restroom is available at the end of the hall. Snacks are available in the seating area. Thank you!
