Tattoo Aftercare | We've done the research for you! All you need to know is right here. Provided by Electric Cat Tattoo. Tattoo Aftercare Full Overview From Electric Cat Tattoo Basics Your tattoo deserves the best care from the moment you leave the studio. Proper aftercare is essential to prevent infection, fading, and irritation. Make sure to gently clean your tattoo with lukewarm water and antibacterial soap, then a light layer of tattoo balm. Follow your artist's instructions, and if you notice anything unusual, don’t hesitate to contact your artist or a doctor right away. Tattoo Cover After your tattoo session, your artist will clean the area and cover your fresh tattoo with a bandage. It's important to keep the bandage on for at least three hours and up to four days—just be sure to follow their instructions. When it's time to remove the bandage, wash your hands with antibacterial soap before gently washing your tattoo. Run it under really warm water for a few minutes, to break up adhesive. During the healing process, wear loose and breathable fabrics over your tattoo to avoid irritation and prevent any sticking to lotions or gels. Lotions are not recommended right away. Take moisturizing lightly, while the tattoo is still fresh. Things to Avoid When caring for your new tattoo, avoid wearing tight clothing that can create friction against it. Keep it out of direct sunlight and regularly apply an artist-approved ointment or balm to prevent dryness. It's normal to experience sc or flaking; resist the urge touch them, as picking can lead to scars or missing ink. Trust the healing process, remember that while the itchiness can be tough, scratching may increase the risk of infection. Tattoo Aftercare Products Best Tattoo Aftercare Products: Soaps Moisturizers Soothing Dial anti-bacterial liquid hand soap, gold Baby Dove sensitive skincare body wash Dove beauty bar Hustle Butter tattoo balm Aveeno daily moisturizing lotion Organic coconut oil Hustle Butter deluxe tattoo care and maintenance cream Organic coconut Oil Mad Rabbit repair soothing gel What to Expect with a Fresh Tattoo What to Expect Expect redness, swelling, and tenderness for the first few days, followed by scabbing and flaking as the tattoo begins to heal. This is a normal part of the healing process as your skin adjusts to the new ink. Your tattoo may also seem less vibrant, and some ink may rub off on clothes or bedding, which is normal. The ink will be absorbed by your body into the subdermis, where it will integrate seamlessly. Meanwhile, the epidermis will undergo a natural healing process, ensuring a smooth appearance. This interaction showcases the body's remarkable ability to rejuvenate and adapt. Bandage You will be provided with a protective cover from your artist, who will thoroughly explain the specifics of the cover, including the essential dos and don'ts, as well as the proper method for its removal. You can to wear this cover for approximately 24 hours to a week, depending the nature of the work received. Following this initial period, you will need to focus on maintaining the healing process, which will typically last for about a month. What to do Next Your artist will provide you with verbal and written aftercare instructions. There are printed instruction sheets, free and available to take home. Please, take them. We have a "Second-Skin Aftercare" sheet and a "DOs and DONTs for Dry Healing". Stick to cleaning the tattoo for about a week and allow it dry out. Moisture build-up can lead to an infection, so we don't want you lathering on lotion, just yet. Allow your tattoo to receive oxygen. Once, the skin has dried and outer layer has formed over, you may start applying recommended moisturizers. Remember to to use a light layer that completely absorbs. After about 4 weeks, you may do as you please, but help us help you, first. No No Do not scratch, rub, pick, or suffocate your fresh tattoo. Suffocate; drowning the tattoo in lotions, skin oils or other creams. You want to keep chemicals away from your "open wound" as much as possible , especially for a fresh tattoo. Open skin is dangerous, as in, you'll be susceptible to getting an infection. So be extra careful what you allow in your fresh wounds. This can cause your tattoo to fade away or scar, but worse... you could end up in the hospital. No soaking under water, beaches, pool, baths, etc., of any kind! Germs and bacteria are everyyywherreee. No tight clothing or rubbing your tattoo on any surfaces. This is considered the same as scratching and picking; it can pull out ink while the skin is still considered 'open". Concerned? Something weird happening? If you're not sure, your artist may take a look to assess the situation. It could be something causing irritation as simple as over-cleaning or over-moisturizing, but your artist is not a doctor. Contact your artist if you have questions or concerns. Contact your doctor incase of an emergency or infection. How satisfied were you with the information provided? What was the best part? • Piercing Aftercare | Electric Cat Tattoo

Piercing Aftercare | We've done the research for you! All you need to know is right here. Provided by Electric Cat Tattoo. Piercing Aftercare Full Overview From Electric Cat Tattoo What to Expect Initially, you may experience some bleeding, swelling, tenderness, or bruising. During the healing process, expect discolor, itching, and a whitish-yellow fluid that can crust around the jewelry. Remember, a piercing may feel healed on the outside while still being delicate inside, so maintain cleanliness and patience throughout the healing period. Once healed, avoid forcing the jewelry, and incorporate cleaning into your hygiene routine to prevent any accumulation of bumps or infections. Even those that have healed, can shrink or close quickly, so, it's essential to keep jewelry in place. Cleaning Options You can wash your piercing with anti-bacterial soap and water, wound wash, or saline solution. Whichever you choose, you will first want to wash your hands thoroughly. It's important not to introduce any bacteria to the piercing because it's an open wound that is vulnerable to infection. So it's crucial to never touch your piercing or jewelry with dirty hands. We do not recommend using anti-bacterial soap consistently after the first week. Overuse of the product can cause blisters, dryness oor irritation. Heal Time It’s important to understand the healing process of ear piercings, as it varies depending on the type and location of the piercing. Earlobes typically heal in 6 to 8 weeks, while cartilage piercings can take anywhere from months to a year. Remember, while the outer part of the piercing may appear healed, the interior may still be, so patience is key. To care for your piercing, clean the area two to three times daily with a saline solution, wound wash, or a gentle, fragrance-free soap, ensuring to rinse and dry it properly with sterile. Concerns A piercing makes an opening in a part of the body where you can wear jewelry. All piercings carry a risk of health problems developing afterward. Those risks include: Allergic reactions. Some jewelry used with a piercing can cause allergic reactions. That's especially true for jewelry made of nickel. Skin infections. An infection can cause redness, pain and swelling after a piercing. A fluid that looks like pus also may come out of the pierced hole when there's an infection. Other skin problems. Piercing can lead to keloids. Keloids are raised areas on the skin caused by an overgrowth of scar tissue. Mouth concerns. Jewelry worn in tongue piercings can chip and crack teeth. Jewelry also may damage the gums. Tongue swelling and inflammation after a piercing may affect chewing, swallowing and sometimes breathing. Diseases spread through blood. If piercing equipment has infected blood on it, you can get diseases that are spread through blood. Examples include hepatitis B, hepatitis C and tetanus. Tearing or trauma. Jewelry in piercings can get caught and torn out accidentally. Those injuries may need stitches or another type of repair. You might need medicine or other treatment if you develop an allergic reaction, infection or other skin problems near the piercing. Tips Follow these tips to help your piercing heal: Clean both the front and the back of the piercing twice a day. Wash your hands well before touching your piercing. Make sure the earring backing is secure, but not too tight. Avoid touching your piercing when you’re not cleaning it. Stay out of pools, hot tubs, beaches, etc., until it’s healed. What to Expect Cleaning Options Heal Time Concerns Tips Piercing Aftercare Products Anti-bacterial Soap Wound Wash Saline Spray Baby Dove Sensitive Skincare Wash H2Ocean Organic Skin Oils Ointments Base Laboratories Keloid Bump Removal Things to Avoid: Fresh Piercing Things to Avoid X Harsh Chemicals: Do not use alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, or other harsh disinfectants, as they can irritate the wound and slow healing. May cause dry or peeling skin. X Over-Cleaning: Cleaning more than once or twice a day can also cause irritation. May cause dry or peeling skin. X Touching or Rotating Jewelry: Avoid touching, rotating, or moving the jewelry (unless you are cleaning it). X Submerging the Piercing: Keep the piercing out of pools, baths, and oceans, etc. There may be bacteria present in the water that can cause an infection. X Products: Avoid getting makeup, hair products, or other cosmetics on or around the new piercing. This could infect the piercing. X Picking: Never pick at the crust or dried fluid around your piercing (unless you are cleaning it with soap and water). Your body will naturally expel dead skin and other bodily fluids. Allow time for dead skin and scabs to fall off naturally. Picking at scabs can result in tearing open the skin and reversing the healing process. • Pricing | Electric Cat Tattoo

Pricing is quoted differently for all tattoos and piercings. Please, contact the artist for an estimate. Pricing Tattoo Pricing Skip to Piercing Pricing What's the minimum? Our minimum is $100. What if I want a big tattoo? We charge $150 an hour. Your artist will be able to give you estimate on the design you want based on how long they think it would take to complete. For other reference, most single-word script or other designs smaller than 4x2 inches may, possibly, qualify for the minimum. Another example, designs that are elaborate with detail and full-color will, likely, be $150 minimum around 4x4 inches, plus $150 an hour as time goes. Standard pricing may vary. Each artist may charge differently based on skill and technique. (Some may take longer than others). Certain artists have a different hourly rate for specialty tattoos. What about the deposit? Is that required? The deposit fee varies from $50-$150, based on size of work. This is typically required for larger pieces or custom designs, only. Small tattoos or walk-ins for a same-day tattoo shall not be charged a deposit, unless they are seeking a large design that will require more than a day to create. In this case, you will drop a deposit and be directed to make an appointment. This allows the artist time to create your design. You may stay in-touch with your artist to get the best results.
